America's Death Spiral - Blaming Obama, Democrats and Political Correctness

The author is an octogenarian who is quick to boast about the American opportunity potential available to anyone willing to work diligently toward a goal of successful business achievement. Early in his life he developed a strong advocacy of the free enterprise system and capitalism. It was the driving force that led to pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities that resulted in ownership of three computer companies. He was able to cope and build a strong work ethic during the challenging days of the Great Depression, WW II, the Greatest Generation, Korean and Vietnam Police Actions. He has observed in his lifetime a dramatic reversal of Americanism that occurred following the Vietnam intervention. The American temperament and patriotism of the Founding Fathers through to the era of the WWII Greatest Generation was changed irreparably resulting in a house divided as was forewarned by Lincoln at Gettysburg. The author is a first generation American who achieved advanced degrees in the sciences. After an initial business experience with IBM that resulted in promotion to executive positions, Nick founded three successful computer software and services companies. Now retired the author manages an investment portfolio while contending with the health challenges of aging. He grew up in a diverse community of European ethnics cloistered in South Philadelphia. The author served in the military as a Corps of Engineers Officer before entering the US business world. Nick has been married for nearly 60 years and has fathered three daughters all of whom completed college with degrees that advanced their careers in business.
