About the Author: Richard Miles
Richard Bland Miles grew up in “The Sixties”, the decade of radical cultural and political change of the world. He has two degrees in Mathematics, an A.B. from Rockhurst College and an M.S. from the University of Missouri. He began working in the Credit Scoring industry shortly after its infant beginnings through its explosive growth for over thirty years; building and analyzing various credit predictive models while he taught as an adjunct professor in Quantitative Analysis courses at his Jesuit alma mater in their MBA program for twenty-five years. He happily remains married to his girl of The Sixties. This is his second book and the second one of the Leap Year Series trilogy which deals with the coming of age of three teenagers during the leap years of The Sixties.
Convergent Coincidences — Book II — (1964). An older high school boy, almost a loner, cannot deal with the military death of his father whom he worshiped, especially when his father’s reputation is called into question, yet continues to emulate him while a related blackmail and murder occur; he awaits baseball season while pursuing dating haphazardly with his attempts failing to fulfill his dreams until he sees ‘her’, whose true essence is more complex, even mystical than her delightful, warm persona exudes.
