In the 1970s, young mother Zoe Hill flees her abusive, drug-dealer husband in Wisconsin, aiming for a fashion career in NYC. With her daughter in tow, she encounters new friends and hurdles, resorting to go-go dancing to make ends meet. About the Author: Carolyn Doyle
Carolyn Doyle, a former fashion designer in NYC’s fashion district, has used many of her fashion industry experiences to develop plots and characters in this, her second novel, Dance to Fashion. This is the second in a series of four novels set in and around the Garment Center between 1967 and 2001. The first novel, Fifteen was published in 2014 and the third novel, Perilous Ambition is set to launch sometime in 2025.
Carolyn is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. In addition, she earned a Certificate in Screenwriting from New York University and is a previous student of creative writing at the New School in NYC.

A young mother, Zoe Hill struggles to break free from her abusive, drug-dealing husband in 1970s Wisconsin. After a family tragedy, Zoe chases her dreams by moving to NYC in hopes of a job in fashion. Through her journey, Zoe encounters fascinating new friends but faces numerous obstacles in order to survive in the city while supporting her young daughter. Zoe heads down the road to disaster when she turns to go-go dancing to pay her bills. Her quest for a career in fashion takes a few detours along the way, but despite it all, Zoe is determined to finish college and develop a career in fashion.
