About the Author: Karen Elkins
Karen as been communicating ideas through visual means all her life.
Karen’s entrepreneurial spirit started at the age of 22, with her advertising agency in Los Angeles, California of 23 years. She catered to the fast paced fashion and consumer electronics industries. Karen’s client roster included JBL, Infinity Speakers, and Harman Kardon.
Karen next turned to the field of education and from 2003-2005, Karen served as director of the Vancouver Chapter of the Gifted Association of BC. In 2004 co-founded Silbury Education and Resource Centre for Gifted and Creative Learners. As acting director and principal, she also re-designed the curriculum to be holistic, global, theme-based, and interactive. Her progressive mind-set wove cutting-edge science and world philosophies into Silbury’s educational platform.
This lead her into a partnership creating events hosting international speakers and best selling authors in Vancouver, BC.
To support the events Karen created Science to Sage E-Magazine. She is the producer, editor and designer of over 49 issues to date.
Her book and magazines are a visual tapestry of modern science and ancient wisdom. She features over 30 innovative thinkers and leading edge scientists. She makes complex ideas simple through her visual presentation.

RENAISSANCE OR APOCALYPSE?
Many religions speak of an apocalypse. Stanislav Grof put it nicely when he said, “The original and literal meaning of the term ‘apocalypse,’ however, is not ‘destruction’ but ‘lifting of the veil’ or ‘revelation.’ It referred to the disclosure of secrets, hidden from the majority of humanity, to certain privileged persons.”
The root word for religion comes from the Latin verb ligo, which means to tie or bind. By unraveling these mysteries, my hope is that you can appreciate that we have all come from the same Weave.
It is time to appreciate the endless diversity and creativity of the Creator’s Web which unifies us all as ONE. What we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
