Kentucky Tails

I was born and raised in Northern California in the Bay Area near San Francisco. My wonderful husband of thirty five years and I have two sons, one of whom still lives in California. I have spent most of my working life working with Special Needs children and eventually being on the Area 6 State Disability Board.

I attended meetings with other parents to assist them in attaining their child's rights and advocate for equality for our wonderful children.
My life has been very blessed to have also worked in several hospitals with critically ill patients. I have learned not to take anything for granted and to enjoy all that I can in life.

When my husband was able to retire from work at an early age, we ventured to Kentucky. It is so beautiful here and although having to learn a totally different culture it has been a wonderful experience, I wouldn't change a thing. The animals are so very cute and whimsical.
We love nature and while visiting the Grand Canyon my husband Kevin was taking a picture of a cute squirrel that was on a rock enjoying the view with him. That gave me the inspiration to start writing and doing research on various animals. I have learned to try to pay it forward in life as mine has been so blessed.
