About the Author: Chris McKell
Chris has traveled around the U.S., Europe and parts of Asia. While planning a trip around the world, to visit various ancient man-made wonders, he developed a travel aid to help with getting around in areas where English is not spoken.

"I was concerned about not knowing other languages. I tried using language phrase books, but pronouncing words in other languages was difficult and confusing. I got the idea of creating a collection of photos to use that included various essential items, such as a bathroom, hotel, taxi, etc. I also included photos of sights and destinations I was traveling to. The travel aid I had created worked like magic!

During my trip, when I needed some help I would simply show a local person a photo that identified my need and they would point me in the right direction...". This travel aid later led to the creation of ‘Get Around Photos'. I wrote this book, in part, to convey how well this travel aid worked for me.

Chris is a Bay Area native of Northern California. He graduated from BYU with a BA in Business Communications. His professional background includes insurance and financial services.
