Robert P. Murphy has a PhD in economics from New York University, where he wrote a dissertation on capital and interest theory. After teaching for three years at Hillsdale College, Murphy entered the financial sector to work for Arthur Laffer. While at Laffer Associates, Murphy co-authored research papers for clients and maintained computer models for portfolio allocation. He is now the head of Consulting By RPM, a firm that specializes in public policy analysis from a free-market perspective. Murphy has written several books aimed at the layperson, including The Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism. He is a frequent public speaker, has testified before Congress, and is a frequent guest on Fox Business.

Niels Veldhuis is Fraser Institute President and one of Canada's most-read private-sector economists. Niels has written six books and more than 50 comprehensive studies on a wide range of economic topics. Niels appears regularly on radio and television programs across Canada and the United States. His commentaries have appeared in over 50 newspapers including the Globe and Mail, Wall Street Journal and the Economist. He also writes a bi-weekly column for the Financial Post.
