Born Gregory Levaunt Showell Jr in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania he was born with physical disability. He lived on the Delmarva penninsula until he moved to Atlanta Georgia with his maternal grandparents at age 5 where he remained his entire life. He studied English Arts and Political Science at Hampton University in Virginia where he obtained Bachelor of Arts. He returned to Atlanta and began working with his grandfather in his contracting business where he had been trained since his childhood to principles of masonry and the work ethic of a master carpenter. After the death of his grandfather he went through a turbulent period where he had many run ins with the law. He was associating with friends from high school in College Park Georgia who were players in the street life and drug trade. After being cleared of all charges in association with a RICO indictment he focused on rebuilding his grandfathers business while working for his great uncle Harry who operated an upholstery and cabinet shop in Atlanta. Gregory had his first son in 1993 and got married thereafter. He had four children who he dedicated his life to and he began to prosper from 1999 where built dozens of homes in the city and surrounding area. He was divorced in 2019 after years of struggling with substance abuse still associating with old trafficking connections. After losing everything he loved he rededicated his life to his first love writing. He focused on his recovery and helping young people who are still sick and suffering. He received certification Peer Recovery Specialist, Caregiver and Addiction Counselor. He has written 3 books that explore the mind of an addict and the infinite discoveries on their path to redemption. Paradox of Love is the central theme he searches finding endless possibilities in the process.
