Processed For Progress: Embracing a Positive Perception Thru Life's Storms

Don W. Armstead is currently serving in Lubbock, Texas, USA as the Overseeing Pastor of the Greater St. Mark Baptist Church where his late father, Dr. Leon Armstead served as Senior Pastor for over 32 years. Since his early childhood in Lubbock, Don W. Armstead has been aware of the Presence of God and the fact that God had plans for his life. Today, while serving as a missionary in the Philippines, he embraces his journey of discovering those plans. Resigning from a solid background in corporate America, Don utilizes all skills he has been blessed to acquire along his journey of being processed. Serving in licensed ministry since 1989, he believes God wastes none of his past experiences to contribute to his journey.

Don has teamed with two of his sisters who also serve as the pastoral staff of Gr. St. Mark. This partnership, nicknamed the “Cord of Three”, has proved instrumental in providing him the freedom to fulfill the missionary call to obey the Great Commission. In his missionary ministry, Don serves by working with various ministries and pastors abroad, helping them to evangelize, encourage and disciple their own nations. While spreading the gospel, he also provides food and leads an annual medical/dental mission to a remote island as a demonstration of God’s love. As faith without supportive actions is dead and useless, Don believes it is the same for God’s love. So, he serves from a commitment that love is an action word and all Christian endeavors must be done in love for them to truly represent God. This is the first book Don has published.
