Leslie Clay began this project in 2008. The women of Broadway Christian Church held their annual women’s retreat on a snowy February weekend. The theme was music, and Leslie offered to play familiar hymns on opening day. Her research grew and this book was born.

Leslie Clay and her husband live in Columbia, Missouri and are active in the community.
Few people read the credits in their hymnals to learn who wrote the hymns they sing and love. Leslie Clay does. Over one hundred women are featured along with their most loved hymns in Sisters in Song.
