About the Author: Ralph Alterowitz
Ralph and Barbara Alterowitz are certified as Sexuality Counselors by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), and are the founders of the Center for Intimacy After Cancer Therapy, Inc. (C-I-ACT), a not-for-profit 501(c)(3).

They have lived the experience of survivorship and rebuilding intimacy, albeit in their case, the cancer patient was Ralph, who experienced sexual dysfunction after treatment for prostate cancer in 1995.

Ralph and Barbara are also the authors of two acclaimed books about sexuality and prostate cancer, "The Lovin' Ain't Over - The Couple's Guide to Better Sex After Prostate Disease" and "Intimacy with Impotence", a chapter about "Sexual Rehabilitation After Cancer" in "Sexual Health", a professional reference guide for therapists, and many articles. They have been counseling hundreds of cancer patients and their spouses / significant others, and are sought after speakers for support groups and conferences.

Barbara and Ralph have been happily married for 28 years.
