About the Author: James Griffin
James Griffin was born in 1957 in White Plains, NY, but moved to Greenwich, CT at a young age, where he grew up.

After attending a few years at Southern CT State, he went into the working world, becoming a carpenter. After several years of that, he worked for his first millwork shop.

After approx. eight years working for other shops, he started his own business, J. Griffin Millwork. After 20 years, he decided to make a life change and wrote his first novel.

Four years and [almost] six books later, he now lives in Kent, CT with a very special lady and Dixie, his Katrina rescue pit bull terrier.

Jim is an bread baker and cook, an avid gardener and a fishing enthusiast - especially on Cape Cod. His favorite place is on Marconi Beach at sunrise with his surf rod in hand, waders on and not a soul in sight...
At eighty, Rhetta Sweeney was living with her sister, doing what was expected of a woman her age. But on a chilly fall afternoon after taking her sister to a tag sale, a tragic event changed her entire life.

Her past, present and future collide in the flash of a second.

Rhetta was not always eighty, and her heart, while slumbering for many years, would prove that love is eternal, forgiving and patient.

This tale makes us all rethink the narrative of our own lives and what really matters in this life - and in the hereafter. Love sees no age, no color, no time. It's there, if we just embrace it.
