About the Author: Allan Bonner
Allan Bonner has coached leaders dealing with some of the most controversial and public issues of our time. He has worked with heads of government, G8 and UN delegations, the WTO, NATO as well as CEO’s and diplomats around the world. He has recently worked in Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Beijing, Singapore, Canberra, Budapest, Geneva, Bled, Nairobi, Vienna, London, Paris, Malta, Prague, most American States and all Canadian Provinces.

In his 14-year career in journalism, Dr. Bonner worked at the local and network levels in both Canada and the United States. He has lived and worked in every region of Canada and done fieldwork from the Johnson Space Centre in Houston Texas, Cape Canaveral in Florida, the Museum of Broadcasting and CBS News Headquarters in New York, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, and the cease-fire line in Cyprus.

Allan Bonner holds degrees in Political Economy, Education, Business and an MSc in Risk, Disaster and Crisis Management with a Masters degree in Law and a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on leadership and communications. He has taught at the college level and regularly lectures at several universities and colleges. Dr. Bonner has been trained in leadership education at Harvard University and in dispute resolution at Osgoode Hall Law School. Currently, Allan is working towards a MScPL in Urban Planning, conducting research and studying one day per week at the University of Toronto. Upon completion, he will also have published a book entitled Safe Cities.

Dr. Bonner conducted research for the Kent Royal Commission, which studied concentration of ownership in newspapers. He has been a contributor to both popular and academic publications including: The National Post, The Globe and Mail, The Calgary Herald, The Ottawa Citizen, Marketing Magazine, Law Times, Winning Campaigns, Bout de Papier, Canadian Corporate Counsel, The Hill Times and Internal Focus.
